Short Medium Term Accommodation

A short term accommodation would suit one’s need if the usual support network is unavailable for that short period. In such a case, we provide them with an opportunity to come out of their comfort zones and try new things. We can provide food, accommodation, personal care, and a range of activities.

help develop new skills;

help make new friends and get along with them;

help maintain the current living situation through a break in the informal support sessions.

Medium Term Accommodation

The scheme for medium term accommodation gives us a slightly longer term housing solution in an area where we are currently residing. Royal Care Assist funds it in the circumstances when the client or participant is waiting for their disability support, and have been confirmed to possess a long-term housing solution. For such a medium-term accommodation, the organization may fund it for a period not more than 90 days.

This provision implies that you need to provide a piece of evidence that you have a place to stay after the Medium Term Accommodation funding terminates. It is usually funded as a one-off support as it isn’t required once the participant moves to the designated long-term accommodation.
