Community Participation

Community Participation

We, at Royal Care Assist, strongly advocate inclusivity and ensure it in a variety of ways. The ultimate objective is to happily immerse the differently-abled people with all groups of people by diminishing their existing hindrances. We attain this by providing awareness raising opportunities and carefully planned training schedules.

Community Participation

At Royal Care Assist, we advocate inclusivity and ensure it at all levels. We intend to immerse the differently-abled people with all groups of community by systematically diminishing their existing hindrances. We ascertain that their mobility issues do not have implications on their overall well-being. Thus, as a provider advocating integrity and respect, we intend to include our differently-abled friends in Community Participation by facilitating their inclusion in community programmes. Hence, we would like to ensure that any person with a disability should never feel confined; on the contrary, she/he should remain confident to thrive in every aspect of life.

A Medical handicap should not become a barrier for anyone in living their life to the fullest. We provide community participation support in a number of ways, including:

  • Interpersonal skills
  • Community access programs
  • Recreation
  • Peer support
  • Life choices
  • Active ageing
  • Vacation care
  • Out of School Hours Care (OOSHC)
  • Weekend programs
  • Flexible respite
  • Centre-based respite
  • Group fitness

Participation is at the heart of what Royal Care Assist does. We engage participants with their families and friends, keep their careers in mind. We understand what Community Participation is an essential need as each member stays connected to the people of their age. Interacting with one’s community is always beneficial as it develops one’s mental health, and helps each individual to have an optimistic approach to life.

In order to form distinct communities and facilitate social participation, various programmes are designed to empower the participants. Though it is incredibly hard, it is very fruitful in the end. Apart from this, we also make sure to look after the physical and emotional well-being of the participants.

Our well-experienced coordinators get to know the participant well and identify their skills and abilities. They focus on their varied interests and offer outcome-based support. Besides thoughtful planning at the initial stage, we evaluate and amend the plans as per the requirement of the participant.

To achieve these objectives, we focus on the following points :

  • Understanding participants
  • Deciding Activities
  • Increasing Scope
  • Individual Learning
  • Making Friends
  • Individual Growth and Development
  • Measuring Sentiment and Satisfaction

If an individual is a participant already, they have the benefit of support with approved funding in:

 -Community and Social Activities

 – Accommodation of Participants

– Assistance in Social and Community Participation

Royal Care Assist is always willing to build a cohisive community.

Community participation implies supporting people with aptitude and skills. For this we encourage participation in various social and recreational activities.
